How Monk-ish are you!!!

So I took this quiz today on how Monk-ish I am. I got more Monk-ish then most. It doesn't surprise me, I am the person who always seperates my food.! I really can't wait for the new season of Monk, it's one of the funniest shows on tv. Another show that I can't wait for is 24, last year was pretty good, and by the looks of the preview that has been shown, it looks like its going to be a good year, but I digress.

Poseidon Trailer

So I have finally seen the trailer for Poseidon and it looks pretty amazing. The film stars Josh Lucas, Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss, Emmy Rossum, Mike Vogel, Mia Maestro, Andre Braugher, and Kevin Dillon. Also appearing in the film is Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. It looks pretty good, although I think Hollywood is running out of ideas for films every movie or trailer I see is a remake or based on a tv show. Whats Next...

Josh Lucas stars in Poseidon.

I Want to be a Producer!

The Producers was better than I thought it would be. I was a little apprehensive about it at first; I thought I wouldn’t like it as much as the play. However I was wrong, the movie was just as good as the play. Uma Thurman and Will Ferrell helped that, Will was hilarious, as was the whole play. When I first saw the play (with Broderick and Lane) there were many parts, that I was unable to hear because everyone was laughing so hard, the same thing happened during the movie. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were both outstanding as Bialystock and Bloom, but giving very good performances. This is one of the funniest movies of 2005 and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh.

Kong is the King this season!!!

The best movie this Holiday season is not even an original movie, it is a remake. King Kong is the must see movie this holiday season. I was excited when I first saw the trailer for kong, but the original was so good and way ahead of its time, that I didn't know if I would like this one. The movie is not the same as the 1933 version; the storyline has been changed a bit, especially the fact that the run time is around 3 hours, whereas the original was only an hour and 45 minutes long.

Naomi Watts and Adrian Brody

The film focuses on a film crew from the 1930’s on there way to Skull Island to shoot a movie, where they encounter Kong as well as prehistoric animals, abnormally huge insects and arachnids, and other creatures. This version with Peter Jackson at the helm, has a stellar cast including Adrian Brody, Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Thomas Kretschmann, Andy Serkis, Jamie Bell, Colin Hanks, and Evan Parke. Also Andy Serkis did the movements for Kong, similarly to how he did Gollum/Smeagol. The CGI Kong looked amazing as well as all the other creatures. Also the action sequences were remarkable considering a lot of the movie was filmed using green screen. The actors all did wonderful job, and the movie was phenomenal. Some people have been complaining over the characters of Jimmy and Mr. Hayes (played by Jamie Bell and Evan Parke) saying that they were unnecessary. I for one liked those characters, and thought that the added to the overall quality of the film. Bell was a scene stealer, when he was in the shot you couldn't help but notice him. (I'm a big Jamie Bell fan, but even people that I have talked to felt the same way).

Jamie Bell, who gained faim from Billy Elliot, will gain more attention with this role.

The one thing that I didn’t like about the film was how the death of Kong was much longer, all the other scenes being longer wasn’t so bad, but it’s a shame to see Kong die and I always hated that part in the original. Also towards the end it seemed to be dragging on, most likely because I was anticipating Kongs death. If you are only going to see one movie this holiday season, then it should be Kong, the movie was made for the big screen, and trust me, you won’t feel as though your money has gone to waste, its well worth the admission price

Munich

Munich was just as good as I though it was going to be. The film which was directed by Steven Spielberg was about the events that happened after the Israeli Olympic athletes were murdered. A Mossad agent played by Eric Bana tracks Palestinian terrorists responsible for the murders. The movie had some amazing long shots, and they way that the lighting was done for them was phenomenal. I though it was weird how it was released so close to Christmas, being such a dark film. All of the actors did a really good job, Eric Bana was amazing, as well as Daniel Craig, he was able to add a little bit of a comedic relief during the film. The movie was filled with suspense, and the characters had such good stories. Throughout the story we could see the inner struggle each one of them had, and how they dealt with it. I would recommend this movie without any reservation; it is a must for any film lover.
